How to Check Your Outlook Quarantine and Release Emails

1. Sign in to Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance 
Go to https://security.microsoft.com/quarantine and log in with your work or school email and password. 

 

2. View Your Quarantined Emails 
See the list of emails flagged as spam, phishing, or malware. Columns show sender, subject, date received, and reason for quarantine. 

 

3. Review and Release Safe Emails 
1. Select the email you want to release. 
2. Click Release message. 
3. Confirm release. The email will now appear in your inbox. 

 

4. Report Suspicious Emails 
If the email looks like phishing or malware, do not release itForward it to your IT support or security team for review. 

 

Troubleshooting 
- If you cannot access quarantine: 
• Ensure you’re using your work/school account. 
• Make sure pop-ups aren’t blocked. 
• Confirm IT admin hasn’t restricted access. 

 

Tips 
- Quarantine notifications are usually sent daily. 
- You can also check your Outlook junk folder, but the portal is more reliable. 
- Regularly checking your quarantine prevents missed emails.
