Transferring a call to another extension
- Press thepoundkey twice (# #) to place the caller on hold.
- You may hear “You have a call on hold, to return to the call, press #. To transfer this call to an extension, dial the extension number. For more options, press *”.
- To transfer the call, dial the extension number.
- The call will be blind transferred to the other extension. The caller will remain on hold until the other extension picks up or until routed to the other extension's voicemail.
Caller ID behavior:
- Blind transfers only display the originating caller ID.
- Warm transfers display the caller ID of the person making the transfer. Once the transfer is complete, then the original caller’s ID will be displayed.
Transferring or flipping a call to another phone number
- Press thepoundkey twice (# #) to place the caller on hold.
- You may hear “You have a call on hold, to return to the call, press #. To transfer this call to an extension, dial the extension number. For more options, press *”.
- To flip the call to another phone number, press1.
- You may hear “Please enter the phone number or quick dial number (Call Flip number) and then press #. To cancel, press **”.
- Enter the phone number where you want to transfer the call, then press thepound(#) key to complete the transfer.
- Using a phone number or quick dial number for transferring calls allows you to complete a warm transfer.
Caller ID behavior:
- Blind and warm transfers show the Call Flip number as the caller ID. The originating caller ID is not displayed.
Parking a call
- Press thepoundkey twice (# #) to place the caller on hold.
- You may hear “You have a call on hold, to return to the call, press #. To transfer this call to an extension, dial the extension number. For more options, press *”.
- Press star (*).
- To park the call, press3.
- You may hear “Your call is parked.” followed by the park extension.
To cancel at any time, press the
star
( *
) key twice ( **
